About me

I am an assistant professor in the Department of Economics at McMaster University. I obtained my Ph. D. in Economics at the University of Maryland, College Park. I received my Licenciatura in Economics from the Universidad Nacional de Tucuman, Argentina.

My research interests are in the areas of International Finance, Credit Risk, Macroeconomics, and Computational Economics. My recent research has focused on understanding the output and welfare costs of sovereign default episodes. I have also been studying the importance of debt dilution in sovereign debt markets.

During the AY 2012-13 I will be teaching International Monetary Economics (undergraduate) and half-courses on Macroeconomics (graduate) and International Finance (graduate).

In the past I have taught Advanced Macroeconomics (at M.A. level), Intermediate Macro and Econometrics (both at University of Maryland and Universidad Nacional de Tucuman).
